"Well, yeah, of course; Terror Mountain is the absolute worst." And she could say that with complete confidence even though she'd only been there once. She never planned on going back there again. Ever.
"Um, well," she cleared her throat, replying hesitantly, "It really just depends on what people need me to do. Sometimes what I do isn't that different from what you do; I just get paid for it." The only difference was, the monsters she found weren't large, furry beasts... well, most of the time.
Her tongue slipped through her teeth, nose wrinkling with disgust. "Just as long as I don't have to eat it," she replied with a weak smile. It wasn't like she'd actually have the opportunity to rat him out, anyway. At least, she didn't think she would.
"Just when I thought my name couldn't be refined any further," she murmured with an amused grin, "But like I said, don't mention it. I needed to head to the library anyway and it's right across the street, so no big deal." Her crimson eye landed on his outstretched hand, and she hesitated a moment before extending her own hand to shake his. Handshakes were one of those things that made her uncomfortable; she wasn't entirely certain just how much someone could feel of her metal hand through her glove. She imagined it probably felt rather hard even with a glove on, but so far no one had ever seemed to notice. Or if they did notice, they were too polite to say anything.
