There are a whole bunch of ways to get Neotown noticed!
I'm going to explain how I spread the word, and in some you can even help!

1. Proboards
I bump daily at our proboards advertising thread. Usually just other advertising boards look in there, but it does help get more traffic which might attract members.

Only 1 person is allowed to help bump the advertising thread. If you want to be that person send me a PM.

2. Advertising at any proboards and invisionfree forums
I usually try to advertise at forums that are a bit comparable to neotown, anime forums, animal rp, fandom rp's, or just with lots of traffic.
You can help!
Just copy this and post it on other forums' advertising section:

Feel free to enter a silly name or your own or just Neo Town when you have to fill in a name as poster.

3. Make flashes and journals for the club at DA
Neotown has a club at deviantart where I submit a flash every once in a while (I keep promising myself to upload more frequently, but.. no buts...)

4. Affiliate with other neopets websites and forums
So far thedailyneopets accepted our affiliation! You can see our happy button on their website! Going to apply for more affiliations for sure!

5. Using an advertising banner on other neopets forums
So far I only frequently post at Jellyneo and TDN, have yet to discover other active neopets forums.

6. Subliminal messaging
At the neoboards I've made my signature this:

Now, this is just an experiment, the goal is, people will read it, and couple days later or weeks they'll suddenly feel like roleplaying neopets. They could do this at the neopets boards, though freedom is fairly restricted there postcount-wise and maturity-wise. So what we're hoping for is for them to google: neopets roleplay, which will lead them to Neotown!
So if you want you can edit your signature and participate in the experiment!

Though I'd be VERY cautious with the banner
Thing is I got an official warning for advertising with the signature I referred in step 6. I immediately sent a ticket when it happened that I did no such thing, but they simply haven't gotten back to me at neopets STILL and it was already months ago.

SO please be very very careful. I prefer users to not risk their account by mentioning Neotown or displaying it in banners. I'd hate for people to lose their beloved accounts for trying to help out Neotown.
