Past: She grew up in Neopia Central with her family until she was nineteen. Having painted herself ghost she felt the best place to go to figure out what to do with her life was Darigan Citadel. Her sister decided to come with her to get away from drama in the family. Apparently their mother and uncle were fighting over how her cousins were being cared for.
Carona found herself having to leave her family in the past and found a job in a library in Brightvale. She knew she couldn't leave them behind forever, but she felt like she needed to move on.
Her brother, soon after the quarrel ended, just came by her home and asked if he could live with her. He had changed a lot since she'd last seen him, but Carona couldn't say no. She got her sister to get a job so that they could afford for him to live with them and hoped that no one else would think of coming to her for escape.
