Homeland: Neovia, though he doesn't know that due to being left at the orphanage at a very early age.

House: He has a home in Neopia Central with his siblings, but he doesn't stay there very often, usually sleeping on his cutter boat. He has a home at Mystery Island too, which he helped Dorondo build.

Appearance

Hair: The usual tuft of fur that most Lupe's have, like Tormund's.

Eyes: Blue-green, like the ocean. Dark brown eyebrows

Skin: Two scars between his face (covered by his mask) and many scars on his back from being whipped in his pirate days. Has a notch on his left ear beneath his earring (FORGOT TO DRAW THAT). Lots of tattoos on his chest and an anchor tattoo on his right arm.

Clothing: As pictured; dark greenish-blue coat with a black turtleneck underneath, swashbuckler trousers or hardy blue trousers with a sash for a belt, generic, green, thief mask, black boots and a gold earring on his left ear (which I forgot to draw hehe)



Personal Info!

Personality: He loves a good laugh, and can be quite competitive. Although he is often joking around, he's prone to bouts of dejection, and he's not very patient, as he easily loses his temper. Even though he is hot-headed and strong-willed, he believes in doing the right thing, though he disregards the rules and engages in thievery.

Past: The orphanage was the first home Matt has really known. He ran away when he was 7, and after a few days of fending for himself on the street, met a kindly Neopian who adopted him as her own.

Things went well for a while, and Matt became a very well-behaved child who studied and worked hard under his new mother's care, though he still retained a mischievous streak. Matt read a lot of stories and gained in interest in pirates. He adored his step-siblings, and they got on well together, even though they moved around a lot; from Neopia Central, to Mystery Island and Terror Mountain and then back to the Central.

Misfortune struck, however, and his mother had an accident during their last move when he was just 13. Unwilling to go back to the orphanage and risk being separated from his siblings there, he started working, doing as many odd-jobs as he can, until he found that stealing was much easier.

It was during this time that a pirate approached him and offered him a life of freedom; Matt accepted, tired of having the responsibility of looking after his family all the time, and sailed the seas for 4 years. During this time, he worked under the captain that recruited him until he disobeyed orders and got flogged. After this incident, he began to resent authority and left to form his own crew. He fell in love at 15 with a beautiful pink Lupe, but was heartbroken when she left without a trace. He was so upset that he unwittingly took it out on his crew, and half of them left; the remaining were to be lost to the Krawken on a later date, which was Matt's last day as a captain and a pirate at the age of 17. Feeling utterly hopeless and guilty, he went back to thieving and was recruited by the Thieves Guild.

Plus: Matt holds his own well in hand-to-hand combat, as he is very quick and evasive, being nimble on his feet (hence his nickname) and as such he makes a very good thief. Very skilled with swords and blades of any kind, and an experienced sailor. Very fit despite getting into lots of trouble.

Minus: It's a good thing he is so agile and speedy, as his strength is lacking against many of the thugs he goes against. He dislikes magic, and finds it difficult to defend against as he has no magical skill of his own. Despite being a sailor, he cannot swim. His impulsiveness often gets him into fights he can't really win...

Extra: His Puppyblew is darned cute. (I need to update that pic because John II has a peg leg now heh.) John II is his loyal companion and often accompanies Matt when not guarding his boat. Although Matt is no longer a pirate, he has a cutter boat that he uses to travel between Mystery Island, Krawk Island and Neopia Central (and occasionally Terror Mountain.) He speaks with an Upper Class Kent accent, though he often sounds so rough it sounds more like a standard English accent.
Because of his first ever breakup causing so much trouble, Matt has major commitment issues, and hasn't had a steady relationship since. One night stands are common for him, and a couple of his scars were not from pirate battles but from scorned lovers...
