Personal Info!
Personality: Dorondo is an incredibly shy, humble Ogrin. When strangers are present, he will often be silent, occasionally shivering in fear (especially if one starts paying attention to him) and when he does have the courage to finally speak, he stutters and mumbles, and it’s often quite difficult to hear what he’s saying. Around good friends and relatives however, he’s much more confident, often joking around with his siblings or lecturing them (especially Matt, despite the Lupe being older) and loves to help out those who need him. Although he likes to go outdoors a lot, Dorondo also enjoys reading, as well as collecting seashells and brewing healing potions. He loves to train at the Mystery Island Training School, despite his peaceful nature, and often doesn’t know his own strength.
Past: After spending his early years in Mystery Island, Dorondo found it difficult to adjust to life in Neopia Central, especially after the loss of his mother. He didn’t like wearing shoes, and often had a quirky way of dressing up (that hat…) in addition to his tribal facepaint; this made him a big target for bullies at school. Although Matt often defended him from his tormentors (to the point of being expelled for breaking a bully’s arm), Dorondo suffered from the relentless teasing and beating, and became withdrawn and nervous around others. This only worsened when their mother passed away, and it was difficult to get a job that required little social interaction. After finally finding work at the library when he was old enough, he met several friends who helped him come out of his shell a bit more. Although still a nervous man, he managed to run his own little stall on Mystery Island and is working there still, even restocking the shop himself by foraging in the jungle and occasionally the beach.
Plus: His strength; Dorondo doesn’t look it, but he’s incredibly strong. In addition to physical strength, he can use magic, especially anything to do with light and healing. He also blends in well in the jungle being a camo Ogrin and, like his brother, is light on his feet. Because of his love of books, he can be quite clever and can understand many languages.
Minus: Although he can be stealthy and strong, Dorondo is also horrendously clumsy. As well as being uncoordinated at times, he is, as mentioned, very shy, and tends to stutter or even freeze up completely in social situations, especially with strangers; his knowledge of languages is nearly useless because of this. He is overly cautious and afraid, often forgetting that he can fight for himself. Although he uses light magic, he is also weak in the presence of strong dark magic; he can fight a little wraith by himself but anything stronger requires additional help.
Extra: The reason his ears are bandaged all the time is because his Slorg, Diablo, keeps biting them. Dorondo has no specific accent, probably because he speaks so many languages that he gets confused himself.
