The wind howled through the trees on yet another night in the jungle, branches and trees rattling along in the dark night. The local fauna cawed and scurried through the underbrush, yet none of the sources could be seen in the shadows. Most neopets were right to steer clear of this area, but that didn't mean it was completely abandoned. The sound of something big and gnarly could be heard echoing through a swallow cave, almost like turmaculus himself as sleeping inside. But no, all it was was Minos snoring in slumber. At the moment he was alone, which shouldn't have been surprising. People would not think twice about running for the hills at the sheer sight of him. He did have master not too long ago, but he couldn't really remember why they 'released' him. Like he could remember anything really. All the ixi knew was to follow and live. But for now he was just sleeping without any sign of waking up. Fleas was currently smelling around the area, the manjeer chewing meat off the bones that belonged to whatever was unfortunate enough to become Minos' last meal.

Lutari Island was not accessible to most, due to the constant storm that raged around it, but this did not stop Skullerr at all. The hulking Lupe had teleported there on a whim, hoping to find new corpses to salvage bones from, and perhaps as a snack... besides, it was a complete change of scene from dreary Neovia. The damp, warm air blew through his mangy fur and the cracks of his skull, though he could barely feel it. As he ventured further into the jungle, he could hear a strange noise, like the snore of a mighty beast. Creeping closer, the Lupe found its source; a cave. Skullerr quietly walked in, unafraid; without the threat of death, what was there to fear?

The caves themselves were very wet and damp from moisture, the walls green with moss and strangling vines. Drops could be heard faintly as they fell from the roof, echoing around the caves. It was pretty straight forward, only one way one, one way out. Outside it wouldn't take long for the sound of pouring rain started as the infamous storm rolled inland.

The barreling rain though didn't seem to wake up the mutant Ixi, Minos only real response would have been a light snort. The rain though did catch the attention of the little petpet scavenger, his ears perking at the sound. After a few seconds though it returned to its 'feast', gnawing the bone in its mouth. Like anything else would be out there...

Skullerr padded along the mossy cave walls, catching the occasional drop of water from the vines above. His nose picked up the unmistakeable scent of something that had died, which led him to quicken his pace. The noise he had heard earlier grew louder and louder, the unknown beast...
