Personal Info!
Personality: He is brave and social, a bit of a weirdo and is often referred to as a clown. He’s an extreme slouch, which often times drives the neopians who take him in bananas. He takes things very personal and is thus easily offended, but is also very quick to forgive and forget. He knows what he wants, and will often strive for that without considering other people. In that sense he can be a bit egotistical. In regular daily activities he’s very considerate of others however.
Past: Taylor was born in the lost desert and had the lost desert color, but his mother was very poor and sick. She died when he was four years old, and so he became an orphan. Though the orphanage for the poor was barely any help, they had little food resource and too many kids running about, thus the orphans often resorted to criminal activity. When Taylor was a teenager he started hating wealthy neopets. He had always felt it unfair that they could stuff their mouths with delicacies while he and the other orphans were mostly hungry, but it wasn’t until he reached his teens that this disdain turned into hatred.
When he was sixteen he managed to get a job as a crewmember of a notorious pirate ship. He was taken under their wing, got their crewlogo branded onto his shoulder blade(preventing fur from ever growing back), taught how to fight and use a sword, and they have been collecting treasure from unsuspecting ships ever since. The treasure was divided amongst the crew based on rank: the captain earned the most while the deckswabber’s earned the least. What he didn’t know was that they stored their plunder in a secret cove near Krawk Island, and had amassed a large treasure already. The captain was greedy and had no heart. He left the ships they plundered to the mercy of the sea along with the passengers, and claimed over half of the loot for his own. Taylor at first felt it was a justified act, since he had been at the mercy of the wealthy all his life, but when he turned twenty he was let in on the secret of the treasure. It came as a huge shock to him that he was actually a very wealthy thief, and that he was actually worse than those he despised all this time.
The next plunder he actually fought alongside the ship they were attacking, and claimed that the captain and his crew were the greedy jerks, not the wealthy neopians. Though he lost the battle, and since he knew of the whereabouts of their treasure he had to pay the ultimate price. His hands and feet were tied together and he was tossed overboard, he didn’t even worth to walk the plank. He thought for sure he was going to die, but was rescued by a delivery boy who was on his way to shore. Taylor was confused as to why he saved a pirate from one of the most notorious crews. When he asked, the maraquan zafara who rescued him explained it was because it was the right thing to do. The desert usul was at a loss on what was right and not right, and had no clue what to do with his life anymore. The zafara told him to live his life aiming to make himself happy without hurting others and to leave the past behind him.
Taylor heeded the advice and started a journey of self-discovery, finding out what he enjoyed doing, what kind of person he wanted to be, and most importantly that the wealthy people he disdained were most of the time very friendly. Though he wasn’t careful and was seen by his old crew, who came after him to finish the job for real this time. Once again his life got saved, this time by the defenders of Neopia.
From that point on he could no longer live carelessly, he had to change his identity. By doing chores he gathered enough NP’s to get himself a rainbow paintbrush, got a different haircut, and was now in both looks and personality a totally different neopian than his pirating days, and even took on the name Yosca. Though the mark on his shoulder blade would remain forever, as both a painful reminder of his evil days and a dead give-away of his identity.
Plus: He’s physically fit, does well in fist fights and can wield a blade like he wields his hands.
Minus: He has a weakness for any type of magic spell, does not carry around a blade, and naturally can’t win of someone who’s equally skilled but has a bigger and stronger body-type.
Extra: Taylor is into dudes.
